Ente Ceramica Faenza

Ente Ceramica was founded in 1977 by Alteo Dolcini, formed in Faenza by 26 ceramics artists for the purpose of protecting the brand of Faenza ceramics. The sponsor was the Mayor of Faenza, Veniero Lombardi, whose explicit endorsement resulted in the stipulation of the Association having its (nominal) headquarters in the City Hall. It could be in no other way in the “City of Ceramics”.

Today it is targeting the promotion and improvement, both in Italy and abroad, of the sector production as well as artistic and artisanal productions and design.

Mission of the Association:
– promote the development of Faenza artistic ceramics and the ceramics culture, facilitating and encouraging the application of the best technical and artistic practises, contributing to the improvement and promotion, in every corner of the globe, of Faenza ceramics;
– promote the diffusion of Faenza artistic ceramics by identifying the forms best suited to purpose and stimulating the actuation of projects finalised, as well as studies and initiatives that value increasing and improving production and the affirmation of the Faenza artistic ceramics market;
– keep watch that those who do not operate in the territory of Faenza do not use the distinctive brands or hallmarks adopted by the Association;
– maintain contacts with public and private institutions and with those organisms that work to defend and promote artistic ceramics, participating actively in coordination initiatives of the same.
