A day to explore the natural wonders, typical flavors and historical and artistic treasures to discover the beauty hidden along the river bank: the appointment with ” A Journey on the Lamone River ” returns on May 5, a walk for families and athletes organized by the Wine and Dine Route “Strada della Romagna” in collaboration with the Municipality of Russi and Bagnacavallo.
The meeting will be at 8.30 am in front of Palazzo San Giacomo in Russi (via Carrarone Rasponi). From here the participants will walk along a fascinating 8 km journey during which the Pro Loco of Russi and the Association Traversara in Fiore will illustrate the historical and natural characteristics of the river.
During the morning are planned some visits to the church of Holy Maria Assunta, the Sanctuary of St. Rosa da Lima and to the Church of St. Tommaso Apostolo with a little dejunner on the grass, before returning to Palazzo San Giacomo and have lunch with a delicious picnic based on PDO and PGI products from the Strada della Romagna farms.
From 10 am inside the church of St. Giacomo will be set a photographic exhibition with shots of the past of the Lamone river and of the territory between Russi and Bagnacavallo. In the afternoon, from 2.00 pm it will be possible to participate to a Raku workshop with the Master G. Galassi (subscription activitie), while at 3.00 pm will take place a visit to the Palace and the Church of St. Giacomo Apostolo.
