Gallegati Agriturismo e Cantina
The company is very concerned about environmental issues, having decided long ago to comply with the directives issued by the European Community for the agricultural sector, aimed at greater respect for the environment and the quality of life.
Gallegati is a small and growing company in the Province of Ravenna, in the heart of Romagna. It boasts a total surface area of approximately 20 hectares divided into two estates.
Antonio and Cesare Gallegati put all their passion into starting up their production of high quality DOC and DOCG wines.
One stretching over about 10 hectares of the Faenza flatlands is dedicated to fruit orchards, while the other 10 hectares are situated on the hillsides of Brisighella and dedicated to vineyards and olive groves.
The wines are typical of the region of Romagna and have intense fruity and particularly pleasant bouquets.
The wine production is limited and obtained using only the best wine-making techniques.

The vineyards are planted on the steep, clayey hillsides of the Monte Coralli in the estate of Monte di Sotto.
They are cordon trained and spur-pruned vines, with a density that varies from 2000 to 4000 plants/hectare.
The vineyards enjoy South-Eastern and South-Western exposure and are about 150-200 metres above sea level.
The subcontinental climate is mild and it rains about 650-800 mm/year. The terrain is steep with highly-oxygenated superficial soil, with a clay-silty texture, calcareous, and moderately alkaline.
