IF – Imola Faenza Tourism Company s.c.a.r.l.

The organization aims directly at the tourist markets, enhancing the excellence of the two territories, very similar to each other, favoring the direct encounter between the offer and the request

The Tourism Company Imola-Faenza was born of a fusion of STAI (Imola Area Tourism Company) with the Terre di Faenza. Private partners hold 54% of the company (trade associations, tourism operators, banks and foundations) while the remaining 46% is in the hands of public partners (CON.AMI, Unione Romagna Faentina and Nuovo Circondario Imolese).
The organisation focuses directly on tourism markets, promoting the excellences of both territories, which are very similar, favouring the direct meeting of the supply (tourism products) and the demand (the tourists) through the creation of truly specific product lines.

On the gentle hillside of Persolino, just 3 km from the city of Faenza heading out toward Brisighella, there is the main office of the Istituto Professionale di Stato per l’Agricoltura e l’Ambiente (Professional State Institute for Agriculture and the Environment).

The school was instituted in 1977 in an area that was already famous for its prehistoric settlements, and where there was the home of Faenza’s illustrious son, scientist Lodovico Caldesi, and for having housed – since 1885 – the school of agricultural practices established by the generous owner of the villa and of the surrounding agricultural company; fertile since the Stone Age, it has always been cultivated by man and soon the fields of traditional cereals were flanked by the cultivation of vineyards.
